Who am I
I have been a photographer for the past 30 years. My photography hobby began with a Canon film camera and grew from there, to my current Canon 5d Mark II. I have various lenses, (Canon, Rokina and Tamron), Lee filters, (the Big Stopper, and various ND transition filters), flashes and other tools and toys of the trade. I am always experimenting and exploring in my photography. With the event of digital photography, there is no additional cost to the quantity of photographs taken. So as long as I can keep buying storage space, I will continue shooting.
What do I shoot
My passion is going out with my gear, exploring God’s country. So much of my work is nature, landscape, animals, or whatever else interesting I come across. I find great joy in being able to shoot and display what and how I see things – looking to show my perspective on life. Living out in the country now, and having 8 acres of land to explore has opened up my variety. Birds, fish, and all types of crawly, creeping, hopping, animals are now fair game. Spectacular sunrises and sunsets now abound – as long as I push my wake-up times!
Using my photos, along with Photoshop, various filters, and plugins, I love to create works of digital art. This ranges from simple background enhancements, to sky replacements, to Impressionistic or Water Color renditions. I can get lost for hours – and on rainy/cold days (here in Texas – that could be the same day). At times, I can lose track of all time as I play, explore and see what I can produce.
Thank you for visiting – I hope I have brightened your day.
